ROM & media publication policy
Arcade.it AI Lab does not distribute game ROMs. Public downloads contain only our own code, configuration, research data, reports and derived artifacts that are suitable for distribution. Users are responsible for obtaining and using game software in accordance with applicable law.
Never transmitted or distributed
ROMs, disk or cartridge images, BIOS, CHD files, game executables, extracted sprites, music or sound effects, emulator memory dumps containing game code/assets, copyrighted manuals/scans, proprietary third-party code and datasets without redistribution permission are excluded. Archives containing these materials are also excluded.
Gameplay screenshots and video
Captures may contain third-party graphics and audio. They are not automatically copyright-free, and a technical workflow cannot establish fair use or fair dealing. Research media should include original context: experiment, score, run class, model calls, captions, comparisons or analysis. Unclear rights require manual review.
We do not distribute raw extracted assets or archives of game-derived assets. A publisher’s explicit content policy, when available, belongs in the game’s source registry. No such policy has been attached to the initial Pleiads checkpoint.
Video publication
Important editorial milestones are candidates for YouTube; ordinary runs remain research records. Automatic YouTube upload is disabled. Publication initially requires approval, including rights-review status.
Release safety
Every public source package is checked for game files, signatures, unsafe binaries, secrets, private keys and unsuitable third-party licensing. Manifests record hash, size, provenance and license classification. Automated scanning is a safeguard; provenance and rights approval remain necessary.
